What we do with your data

Strikeline keeps a private record of your bowling. We collect only what the app needs to do that, we don't sell your data, and we don't run ad networks. This page explains exactly what we store and who we share it with.

What we collect

• Your account. An email address and a display name so you can sign in and your data stays yours across devices.
• Scoreboard photos. When you scan a game, the photo of the overhead scoreboard is uploaded so the app can read your scores.
• Your bowling data. The games, frames, sessions, records, and arsenal you save — plus any league name and league night you choose to add.
• Subscription status. If you go Pro, our payments provider tells us whether your subscription is active. We never see your card details.

How your scoreboard photos are used

To turn a photo into scores, a compressed copy of the image is sent to Anthropic (the makers of Claude) for optical character recognition — it reads the numbers and hands the result back to you for review. The reading is always a draft; the scores you confirm are what's saved.

We also keep your original scoreboard photos to keep improving how accurately Strikeline reads different houses' scoreboards. These images are stored privately to your account and are never shown to other users or sold.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted services to run the app:

• Google Firebase — sign-in, the database that holds your bowling data, and private storage for your scoreboard photos.
• Anthropic — reads the scores from a scoreboard photo when you scan.
• RevenueCat & Apple — process and manage Pro subscriptions. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive your card number.

We do not share your data with advertisers and we do not sell it. Ever.

Your choices

• Delete your account. You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your profile and bowling data. You can also email us to have everything removed.
• Manage your subscription. Pro subscriptions are managed through your Apple account, where you can cancel anytime.

Children

Strikeline is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
